Service Tech Kody W is the man!  We had a very noisy fan in our gas fireplace, along with some general cleaning, and an odd scenario occurring from time to time with flame ignition.  Kody traced down all the problems, replaced the fan, found two gas leaks, and cleaned and re-installed everything perfectly, got us a warranty part replacement, and tested and demonstrated that all is working great! After smelling gas near the fireplace while visiting my son, I asked if he would like me to call Salter’s, since I had such a good experience with them.
Greg, the tech, came and cleaned the whole unit, found a small leak and repaired. Greg is also a wealth of knowledge about safety and readily shared that information.
He also gave tips on how to run the house heater while using fireplace!

We just had a tech, Raejon Benjamin, out to service our fireplace.  I had remove the concrete logs myself and did not put them back correctly, so the flames we not entirely visible and there was a faint smell of unburned gas.  He did research to find the correct pattern (the fireplace is 20 years old) and fixed it.  He also replaced the stone and embers, cleaned the pilot, etc.  He was professional and warm. Fantastic experience with routine maintenance on our gas fireplace. It was our first time having it checked since moving in to our new home and our technical was fantastic. Malik Smith our Service Tech Mgr, came out and fixed our issue with remote (replaced unit) for gas fireplace;  cleaned, refreshed, replaced some of the fireplace elements to bring the whole look back to life.  When done we realized need to do more often!

Tyler did an outstanding job.He cleaned our gas fireplace impeccably.Then when he was finished he troubleshot why we were having a low flame . He found a web(with a dead spider deep in one of the lines) We now have a nice even flame. The last company we used  said there was nothing they could do about the low flame and left it that way. Met Eric and Kody today to service my gas fireplace. They were so nice and very respectful of my home. Eric was teaching Kody step by step the job and he was really soaking up the knowledge. These two worked well together and fixed my fireplace within 30 minutes. I've always had a great experience with Salter's Fireplace and Chimney co. We have a 10 year gas insert fireplace and the place which had done the installation and had been doing the annual maintenance stopped answering their phone or returning phone calls. Also the store was closed during business hours with no notice whenever I took time to drive there. I finally gave up.

I called Salter’s, who immediately picked up the phone and I was able to get an appointment in short order. I got a reminder call the day before which was also welcome. Greg showed up on time and was extremely thorough in his inspection, cleaning, battery replacement, etc., and getting us ready for this winter. I could not be more pleased. He actually rearranged the rocks (ours has large rocks on the base) and this gives an even better flame distribution than before.

I highly recommend them!

We have an approximate 15 year old pellet stove that works great, however we needed a  part in order to continue to use the stove. Salters assisted in identifying the proper part, ordering it, and having it shipped to store for pickup. The part was installed and  we’re ready for another season.

Salter’s went above and beyond to help us with a last-minute issue before a house closing. From Jordan in the store to Diana and Frank on the service team, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and truly responsive to our urgency.

Another vendor had told us our ventless gas fireplace was unsafe and needed a $10K–$30K replacement. Salter’s correctly diagnosed it as a non-issue — just dust buildup from 10+ years of disuse. Frank, the service manager came out personally, cleaned it, and after a few hours of burn-off, the smoke issue was completely resolved. We placed a CO monitor nearby for safety, and it never went off, confirming the fireplace was perfectly safe.

We purchased our gas insert fireplace from Salter’s ten years ago and Salter’s serviced our fireplace since purchase.  We experienced a severe storm that blew off our chimney cap and the rain damaged one of our electronic control modules.  Service Technician Greg Cole did a great job replacing the module and performing annual  maintenance.
