Ed oversees installations from start to finish, making sure each job is planned properly and executed the right way. As Installation Manager and Site Inspector, he’s often the one out in the field, looking at spaces, solving challenges, and figuring out how to make a customer’s vision work in the real world. He’s steady, realistic, and focused on getting things done right.
He found his way into the fireplace industry through one conversation that changed everything. While working as a contractor at the home of Salter’s former VP of Operations, he was asked if he knew anyone who might be interested in becoming an Installation Manager. Ed raised his own hand — and the rest is history.
What Ed enjoys most is walking into a customer’s home and seeing if he can make what they’re hoping for actually happen. He likes the problem-solving side of the job and the satisfaction that comes with finding a way forward.
Outside of work, Ed loves to cook and is always trying out new recipes. His outlook is simple and optimistic — “It should be fine” — and most of the time, he’s right. He also appreciates living in an area with all four seasons, even if the snow doesn’t show up quite like it used to.
