My 3 sided fireplace has been a nightmare from the time the home builder installed it. The doors would get in the way when opened and if not careful they would jump off the hinges and nearly chip the marble. Not to mention that the control unit melted and would no longer light. Other fireplace companies told me I needed to replace the entire fireplace (which wasn’t feasible being that it had a custom built mantle enclosure. The people at Salters were fantastic. Our rep (Lisa) was very knowledgeable and listened closely to our dilemma. They had their technical person come out, take measurements and help design a solution. The entire team was courteous and extremely helpful! They worked closely with their manufacturing team to ensure the new doors fit like a glove. Service Tech Kody W is the man!  We had a very noisy fan in our gas fireplace, along with some general cleaning, and an odd scenario occurring from time to time with flame ignition.  Kody traced down all the problems, replaced the fan, found two gas leaks, and cleaned and re-installed everything perfectly, got us a warranty part replacement, and tested and demonstrated that all is working great! Excellent service from the front desk, Michala, to the first technician, Darryl, to the chimney liner guy(can’t remember his name - sorry!), to the install crew, Kevin and Austin!  Everyone was very communicative, friendly and competent. If you have chimney needs or want to install a gas fireplace insert, this is the place to go. I feel like I got a competitive price and I absolutely love my new fireplace insert. I actually turned off my furnace, and the house is more comfortable!  I leave my furnace fan on, so my UV light (installed by Platinum Plumbing) will continue to sterilize my air. I’m excited to enjoy the fireplace for the rest of the winter and even during the summer, since I can run it at a low flame. You guys are the best, and I feel very secure knowing my product is installed correctly for safe and reliable operation. Thank you very much to the whole team at Salters!  Oh yeah, and they have green egg stuff there, too!! 7/22/26:  I had Kody service my fireplace. He was terrific:  put shoe covers on before entering the home, introduced himself, told me what he was doing, how long it would take, set up a drop cloth in his work area, and he was right on time. Overall great experience. The owner, Jay, is very knowledgeable and did a great job accomodating my difficult installation due to needing a boomlift to safely run the stainless chimney liner and a very long liner run. I visited three other fireplace stores before I found Salter's.  I was immediately impressed with the expertise of the staff, especially Jordan in the Eagleville store, who answered all my questions and helped me plan the dimensions and features of the unit I chose.  We installed a gas fireplace in a new addition, and our contractors were very impressed and pleased to know the Salter's technicians would do the entire installation.  We had one minor issue that required a second visit from the technicians.  They arrived extremely promptly and fixed the issue in minutes.  I can't say enough about Salter's. We just had a tech, Raejon Benjamin, out to service our fireplace.  I had remove the concrete logs myself and did not put them back correctly, so the flames we not entirely visible and there was a faint smell of unburned gas.  He did research to find the correct pattern (the fireplace is 20 years old) and fixed it.  He also replaced the stone and embers, cleaned the pilot, etc.  He was professional and warm. Friendly  customer  service  response and we received an appointment confirmation call  with date and window time frame for the tech visit.. Got lucky with a  recent cancellation, tech out in 2 days.  Our unit statred to fail after 3 months of perfect fall  2025 usage.  The piolet stayed on for days,  but when lit the unit  piolet and flame both wouldn't stay on for more than 5 to 10 min. Tech diagnosis was thouough and swift.  The Kozy Heat insert  this visit needed new a thermopile.  Thermocople was ok. We have propane gas  and Thermocouple gets replaced  maybe every 5 to 7 years. Tyler did an outstanding job.He cleaned our gas fireplace impeccably.Then when he was finished he troubleshot why we were having a low flame . He found a web(with a dead spider deep in one of the lines) We now have a nice even flame. The last company we used  said there was nothing they could do about the low flame and left it that way. We have a 10 year gas insert fireplace and the place which had done the installation and had been doing the annual maintenance stopped answering their phone or returning phone calls. Also the store was closed during business hours with no notice whenever I took time to drive there. I finally gave up. I called Salter’s, who immediately picked up the phone and I was able to get an appointment in short order. I got a reminder call the day before which was also welcome. Greg showed up on time and was extremely thorough in his inspection, cleaning, battery replacement, etc., and getting us ready for this winter. I could not be more pleased. He actually rearranged the rocks (ours has large rocks on the base) and this gives an even better flame distribution than before. I highly recommend them! Salter’s went above and beyond to help us with a last-minute issue before a house closing. From Jordan in the store to Diana and Frank on the service team, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and truly responsive to our urgency. Another vendor had told us our ventless gas fireplace was unsafe and needed a $10K–$30K replacement. Salter’s correctly diagnosed it as a non-issue — just dust buildup from 10+ years of disuse. Frank, the service manager came out personally, cleaned it, and after a few hours of burn-off, the smoke issue was completely resolved. We placed a CO monitor nearby for safety, and it never went off, confirming the fireplace was perfectly safe. I’m extremely grateful for their honesty, expertise, and outstanding customer care. Communication and responsiveness from all of Salter’s reps—from sales to installation to billing—were way beyond expectations (especially because I am out of state and was working with them remotely on a rental property).  The work was completed professionally and exactly as promised, with extra attention to clean-up after installation, and my meticulous tenants were thrilled. We experienced a severe storm that blew off our chimney cap and the rain damaged one of our electronic control modules.  Service Technician Greg Cole did a great job replacing the module and performing annual  maintenance. They helped us every step of the way in choosing our log set and were patient with our changes. The installation team was also terrific. We had our gas fireplace serviced by Greg Cole @Salter’s and he was fantastic.  Very professional and he went out of his way to ensure our fireplace was operating efficiently and safely. We also have a gas stove in our finished basement that wasn’t working and he went out of his way to service the stove and get it up and running (after we were told from another stove company the stove couldn’t be repaired!). We had Salters convert our wood burning fireplace to gas. We love the look and the convenience which has us using it all time! Our salesperson was so helpful. The installation totally smooth. When my wife and I decided to get a gas fireplace insert, I went to Salter's and the sales people were very helpful in showing us various models and helping us make a choice. Absolutely the best company to deal with! We have an older colonial style home with 5 fireplaces. 2 of these were very challenging in that one was 20" x 20" and the other was 65" x 65" c 40" with a window to outside. We brought in 5 companies all with no viable solution let alone a recommendation.. We were directed to Salter's and they came up with multiple options quickly. The price was very fair. Just had a gas insert installed by Salter’s and was incredibly pleased with the whole experience from start to finish. Michaela at the showroom was super knowledgeable and helpful without being the least bit pushy. I do sales for a living so I don’t like pushy people!  She followed up with me to help answer any questions and was very responsive and made it a breeze to get scheduled. They were very communicative with me throughout the process and I always felt informed about what was going on from the initial site inspection to the final install. The install team they sent out was fantastic and got the job done quickly and efficiently. They were friendly and polite and maintained a very clean workspace throughout the install. You can tell they are professionals! There was one small issue after the install with a gas smell. I called the next day and they sent someone right out. It turned out a test gas port was left open and rather than trying to blame it on the unit or make up an excuse, the tech apologized for the inconvenience and fixed it immediately.  Everyone makes small mistakes but honesty builds trust! Overall I had a top notch experience. In addition to everything, it is really nice to know that they are family owned and don’t sub-contract out any work. I myself am an electrician that works for a family owned company. I am always incredibly picky with who I choose to work in my home but I would have Salter’s back any time. If you want quality service from start to finish look no further. We shopped around before choosing Salter’s for our gas insert. They had the largest selection of models on display, which I appreciated as many other stores carry 1 or 2 and ask you to make a selection off a manufacturer website. Our experience at Salters was pleasant. The staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. They explained everything in great detail. We did make a purchase that day. As for the installation, Mike was the best. He was very organized. You could tell he had been doing this for many years. (24 to be exact) Install and clean up was flawless.
